Frequently Asked Questions
Why does Docklet need Accessibility access?
Docklet monitors cursor movement to detect when it approaches the edge of a non-anchored display. Accessibility access is the only macOS-sanctioned way for a sandboxed app to observe system-wide mouse events. Without it, Docklet cannot intercept Dock hops.
The Dock isn't being blocked. What do I do?
- Make sure you have selected an anchor display from the π¦ menu.
- Check that the status reads π¦ Docklet Active β not Ready or Disabled.
- If you see β οΈ Accessibility permission required, click it to open System Settings and re-enable Docklet in the Accessibility list.
- If the permission is already listed but the tap won't start, remove Docklet from the Accessibility list and add it again, then relaunch.
The status shows "π¦ Docklet Paused". What does that mean?
Your anchored display is not currently connected. Docklet suspends blocking automatically so you are never locked out. Reconnect the display and blocking will resume on its own β no restart needed.
Will Docklet work with more than two displays?
Yes. You anchor to one display and Docklet blocks the Dock edge on all other connected displays, regardless of how many there are.
Does Docklet work when the Dock is on the left or right side?
Yes. Docklet detects the Dock's current orientation automatically and adjusts its blocked edge accordingly.
Does Docklet work with macOS Spaces or Mission Control?
Docklet only prevents the Dock from being summoned on non-anchored displays. It does not affect Spaces, Mission Control, or window management.
How do I stop Docklet from launching at login?
Click the π¦ menu bar icon and uncheck Launch at startup.
How do I disable Docklet temporarily?
Click the π¦ icon and select None (Anchoring Off). To re-enable, select a display from the Anchor Dock to: list.
